We are in Datchet
Christin's Salon is located in the picturesque Thames-side village a short distance from the royal castle in Windsor and public school of Eton. We are located on the village green, surrounded by many of the historic buildings, and only about 100 metres from Datchet railway station.
Datchet was first mentioned prior to the Doomsday Book, centred around the church on what was an island on the Thames flood plain. Everything north of the Thames was, until 1974, part of the county of Buckinghamshire.
Dominated locally by the major towns of Slough to the northwest and Staines to the east, Datchet has a population of just under 5,000 with many people travelling to and through the village each day. It is not unusual to see the Queen being driven through on her way to or from Windsor Castle.
